Bitwarden’s August business update adds another way to move credentials into a vault and more controls over information shared through Send. The company’s 31 August roundup includes direct Keeper imports and expanded policies and event logs for business administrators.
The two changes address different moments in account management: moving into a password manager and controlling information that leaves it through a sharing feature.
Import without making a plaintext export first
Bitwarden says its direct Keeper import can move items without requiring the user to create a plaintext export file. Avoiding that intermediate file removes one item that would otherwise need careful handling on the computer.
It does not remove the need to check the imported vault. Compare a representative set of logins, secure notes and other important items before changing the old setup. Record what transferred and what still needs attention, rather than assuming a successful import message proves every field arrived as intended.
The update also lists imports for KeePass database files and Delinea formats. Different import routes support different source structures, so select the method that corresponds to the actual export or service.
More oversight for Send
Send lets users share information through a controlled link. Bitwarden’s business update describes administrator policies governing Send types, access restrictions and lifespan, alongside event logging for creating, editing, accessing and deleting Sends.
For an organisation, those controls can support a defined sharing process. They still require someone to decide what may be shared, with whom and for how long. A feature that records an access event cannot establish that a recipient subsequently handled the information appropriately.
Check which controls the organisation’s plan supports and how they apply to the clients people use. Test a harmless sample under the intended policy before relying on it for an important transfer.
A preview is not the current interface
The same roundup previews a refreshed interface for a September beta, including a change in terminology from collections to shared folders. Those are upcoming changes as of the August update, rather than a reason to expect every account to look different immediately.

No. Confirm important items and fields in the destination vault before retiring the previous setup.
Does a Send audit log prevent a recipient copying information?
No. Logging and access controls provide oversight, but do not control every subsequent action by a recipient.
Is the new interface already available to everyone?
The August roundup describes a September beta. That is a preview, not universal availability.
